Latest Updates from Our Project:

Gettin them Files!
almost 5 years ago – Fri, Jun 28, 2019 at 01:47:55 AM

Files have been delivered as of last night, but I have multiple reports of folks not getting emails from BackerKit. I think BackerKit is bit backed up (pun intended) - regardless of if you have received any emails, you CAN get the files now by logging into your BackerKit account at https://depths-of-savage-atoll.backerkit.com/

Remember, I don't recommend downloading the whole set yet since it's in flux as models are added/updated, but rather cherry-pick what you want. You should start at the GOOGLE DOC first.

Mystic Realms Coupon

There was some confusion with the coupon during the campaign, so my friends @ Mystic Realm generously offered another coupon!

Code 50% off everything accept Undergrowth: SavageAtoll_KS

Code 30% off for Undergrowth: Savage_Undergrowth_30

Codes are for their webstore at https://www.mystic-realm.com/ and are valid until July 7!

And I leave you with this....

Backerkit and Delivery - Files Are Almost On Their Way!!!
almost 5 years ago – Wed, Jun 26, 2019 at 10:01:25 PM

BackerKit

I have officially sent out Backerkit emails to all backers at this point. If you did *not* receive one, or just want a quick way to access it again at any time, you can follow this link:

http://depths-of-savage-atoll.backerkit.com/

I have received a few questions from folks, so want do a high level FAQ in case you have the same questions:

Q: Can I change my pledge level?

A: YES - the first screen after you login to BackerKit shows your pledge - there's a blue link to 'change pledge level' towards the bottom of that screen, if you would like to change it.

Q: Can I make multiple orders / use multiple payment methods?

A: BackerKit should let you do this no problem, you can always add new add-ons after initial checkout process using whatever payment method you would like

Q: I didn't receive a survey email - help!

A: Please follow the link above and you'll end up at the same place.

Q: Something doesn't look right with my account / pledge

A: You can contact me and we'll get it fixed! (via FB message on my EC3D page, or BackerKit support page)

Q: I'm having an issue accessing my account on BackerKit

A: There is a support option right on the BackerKit page, which will include BackerKit support personnel and they can get you straightened out!

File Delivery

I have been busy prepping everything and it's come along great, I'm way more organized for this campaign than I have been for previous ones, which is awesome. Your defacto guide to the files in your pledge will be this Google Doc HERE. Please start there, *before* downloading files.

You'll note that as of the time of delivery, all but one mini is ready, and I'm wrapping up the big ships and a few terrain pieces but about 95% of the campaign is READY TO PRINT RIGHT NOW. Hallelujah!

Downloading Files

You will have access to the digital rewards for everything you pledged for (including add-ons) in BackerKit. It will all be layed out nicely for you on one page. Add-ons are packaged individually, but KS rewards are packaged into Terrain, Minis, and Bonus.  Each of the links in the digital rewards section is a protected link to a Dropbox folder - the password is included for the link right on that page as well. You should be ok to download all the add-ons and past campaigns in bulk if you want, BUT for the content from this campaign I encourage you to  just pick and download individual pieces you want as you print them. This is because things will be updated if errors are found, and missing items will be added.

Please note these dropbox/digital rewards links in BackerKit will *officially* be available for 12 months (and probably longer), so you have lots of time to get in there and grab what you need, so don't feel like you need to download gigs of STLs right now.

I will be pushing 'GO' on the file delivery shortly after pushing this

Coupon Codes

It was brought to my attention that the coupon code for MysticRealms wasn't working for a few folks. Got that sorted, and have another coupon for you too from AntiMatter games:

Mystic Realms - I was informed that there was an issue with the Mystic Realms 50% off coupon during the campaign. I'm working with them to hopefully get a new coupon, and will share that with you when available.

Antimatter Games - antimatter-games.com - 25% off, valid on everything except boxed setsValid until Aug 31, 2019 - use code: savageatoll

Update on Delivery, Models, Abandoned Lighthouse, FB Group, and More
almost 5 years ago – Sat, Jun 22, 2019 at 03:25:09 AM

Abandoned Lighthouse - Available Now

On the LAST day of the KS, I decided last minute (seriously at 2 in the morning) to throw ONE LAST model in the final stretch goal. I had so much fun with it though, that I decided - in celebration of the campaign's success, and because I hadn't originally intended to include it in the campaign - to add even more details and options to the model and release it for free. You backers made this piece possible, so consider it all of your gift back to the community. You can start printing the lighthouse right now, it's on Thingiverse here

File Delivery / Status

I'm deep in the process of organizing/compiling all the STLs for delivery. BackerKit is all setup and you should be receiving your emails over the next few days for the "survey". On BackerKit, your pledge level will be shown, as well as any additional funds you included for add-ons. You have the option to modify/change your pledge and purchase additional add-ons on the BackerKit platform.

I'm expecting KS to release funds to me mid/late next week, and will hit GO on the digital rewards associated with all pledges/add-ons (which will be links to password-protected Dropbox links). There will be a Google Sheet that outlines all the sets (organized by stretch goal/category), including delivery status. I highly suggest NOT downloading the whole file set right away as it'll be modified as I keep adding new models, so I suggest downloading specific folders/sets you want to print until everything is finalized.

Regarding exactly *what* will be ready next week, I'm proud to say 100% of the minis will be finished/ready, including all stretch goal releases. About 80% of scatter/terrain will be ready as well, with the large ships being the biggest pieces I have still to finalize/test print - which I will be working diligently on.

Here's a few screenshots of the finalized models from the last minis stretch goal:

I also spent a few days repping EC3D @ Origins last week - I met some of you awesome KS backers there, and convinced LOTS of people to buy 3D printers and join in on the addiction (I mean FUN). Had lots of pieces from the KS on display, and the feedback was awesome, and I'm really excited to see what you all print!

Note on file delivery, add-ons, and timeline
almost 5 years ago – Sat, Jun 15, 2019 at 08:18:09 PM

I have had lots of people ask about the next steps so wanted to lay out the process, particularly for those that have never been part of a Kickstarter before. The Kickstarter platform will collect your pledges and charge your cards, attempt to rectify failed charges, etc over the next few weeks. In that time I'll be sending out links to Backerkit (the pledge manager) where you will be able to do a "survey" to choose which specific add-ons you wanted with your pledge (if you added extra add-on funds), modify your pledge (if you got just minis or terrain but wanted all in), or purchase add-ons you didn't account for during the campaign.

Kickstarter will release the funds from the campaign to me ~2  weeks from the finish date of the campaign. I have no control over this time period, it's imposed by Kickstarter, and accounts for people who pledge with bad cards or payment is never collected from, but the second the funds are released to me I will push the button on BackerKit to release the codes for the digital downloads. You will receive an email from BackerKit and I'll post an update with a link you can visit in case you didn't  receive the BackerKit email. The way you collect the files will be a dropbox link for each item purchased ("minis" and "terrain" are each their own item, and each add-on is it's own item) with a custom code for you to access  in your web  browser. In the dropbox link you can browse/download individual files or download the whole thing as a big zip file.

The dropbox link will contain what is done at that point in time (~80-85 % of the files) and will get updated as a I add new items, so I *DO NOT* recommend downloading the full thing right away, but rather cherry-picking the items you wanna start printing and just download those, but it's up to you. I will create a bit spreadsheet overview to help you find/navigate the items, and a change log that will be updated as a I add new / finished / updated models to the dropbox.

Hope this is clear, but let me know if you have any questions!

Sorry if I'm slow to respond to messages over the next few days, I'm @ Origins with Ryan Beasecker (of Hero's Hoard) so come say HI if you are here in Columbus (Booth 359), and check out some of the Depths of Savage  Atoll items printed!

Final Hours : Last Stretch Goal Unlocked (The Floating Dead)
almost 5 years ago – Thu, Jun 13, 2019 at 01:45:55 PM

WOW this campaign was so much fun, and I'm thrilled with the models we brought to the table together (pun completely intended)! Wanted to send out a final update to show some off the models from the last, and final, stretch goal, which was unlocked yesterday. This one took a while to get out because it came down to the wire, and lots of the items were (and are) still getting worked on.

For terrain: This unlock features the largest ship in the campaign: the undead galley! The initial version of this was made by Dark Realms, and I accessorized it a bunch to make one bad mofo. It's gonna be sweet on the table! Initially, this was gonna be the only terrain item due to it's epic size/scope... but because I love you folks, I decided last minute (aka 2am last night) to add another big piece... so we now have  the insomniac's Abandoned Lighthouse - a ruined, dilapidated lighthouse that is - most certainly - haunted by something that ain't nice.

For minis: First we have 3 members of an undead pirate crew and their fearless captain. Next, a drowned maiden can be a perfect Rusalka-esque quest hook. In progress we have 3 more models. First, a pirate wraith will haunt the depths, and will be awesome printed in transparent resin/plastic. Next up a shipwreck corpse collector is an automaton silently patrolling the depths, gathering up the corpses of the fallen to itself (this model will be AWESOME when it's done, the render is an early work in progress). And finally - included by popular request - is a menacingly large, undead sea serpent! Hope you all dig these!
