Stretch Goal #9 - The Forgotten Temple UNLOCKED
almost 5 years ago – Thu, Jun 13, 2019 at 01:45:41 PM

Final 48 hours! Let's have some fun with this in the last few days! Please help share / push this campaign to any channel where you think interested folks might be, and let's get all the stretch goals unlocked!

The Forgotten Temple: UNLOCKED

This is, without a doubt, my favorite stretch goal from the campaign! Sorry for the crunch in getting this post out after it was unlocked yesterday, getting the models ready is a whirlwind and I wanted to be able to show ALL the stuff from this goal (vs just works in progress).

Let's talk about the minis first - A clan of intelligent primates have taken up residence, including a huge warrior gorilla, an ape shaman, and a baboon warrior.  Deep in the crypts of the temple, an ancient mummy lord awaits - decked out with a burial headdress and jewelry (this guy prints supportless). Next, a nondescript piece of ruins sits in the temple, but when players approach a massive crab (aka "ruin crawler") emerges from the ground, with the ruins on their back! The crab bottom and ruin top print  separately and the ruin piece snaps down onto the crab when you combine them into the ruin crawler. Lastly, two vine-covered temple guard statures stand motionless for centuries, large swords buried in the ground - but once disturbed, they come to life as stone constructs! 2 unique statues + 2 living poses are included, all of which print supportless!

On the terrain side we have lots of cool stuff. First up, a set of large bust/head statues - one falling apart/ruined,  then a ruined/vine covered wall and column piece. Next up, a set of temple gates marks the entrance, and a stylized temple portal that leads to who-knowns-were. The portal has a separate insert that you can print in translucent PLA, and leave out until the portal is activated. As a bonus, the ruined piece from the Ruin Crawler mini is included for terrain pledges. Last but not least, a large overgrown/ruined dais makes the perfect centerpiece for the forgotten temple!

Here's one shot of a few temple items painted up, along with a few ruined stone DungeonSticks

More Painted Stuff from Previous Stretch Goals

Some stuff from core terrain/minis + gnomish submarine, minis and diving bell

And here's some gnomes with some of the core cargo, docks from The Mangrove Swamp SG, and the rowboat from the last Riders of the Tide SG!

More Free Bases

People really liked the bases I released from this campaign last week (1" here and 2/3" here if you missed them), and it inspired me to compile and release a bunch more bases from my last Skyless Realms kickstarter - these range from 1" to 4" and are generally cavern/abyss themed. You can download em for free on thingiverse HERE.

Stretch Goal #8 "The Riders of the Tides" UNLOCKED + Bases Released
almost 5 years ago – Sun, Jun 09, 2019 at 09:20:07 AM

Only 4 days left! GAAAAHHH it's all happening so fast! ;-) We have a few more stretch goals left, but let's not get ahead off ourselves. First:

The Riders of the Tides: UNLOCKED

The ocean is a big place, and you need to get around FAST... particularly if you are under the waves. This stretch goal brings us back out into, and under, the briny waters. First.. some terrain. We have a few new stylized, fantasy themed boats to add to the arsenal - a decorated/adorned longboat, and a larger seahorse-prowed vessel perfect for any crew of the fairer races! Next we throw in a few whirlpools to decorate your sea map, and some cool treasure chests (plus a bonus chest/cannon/gun mimic!)

The minis are where this stretch goal really shines! First up, an epic - player terrifying - aspect of the of the wrathful, cruel goddess of the ocean... adorned with weed, clams, shells and more, coming out of the waves. This piece is BIG (4" base), prints supportless, and looks amazing next to a large ship on the table! Next up we slapped some various armor, saddles, and mounts on some of the animals - hippocapus, tea turtle, hammerhead/hunter sharks, and eel are all mounts now! More deepdevils enter the fray as well - one each for the sharks, ready to dash into battle. Last, we have a male and a female sea elf riding a sea turtle an the hippocampus.

Bases - download now!

Over the last few days I took some time to compile some of the bases I have created for this campaign, and released  them for free on Thingiverse. These range from temple, jungle, cliff, sand, and more! You can check out the 1" bases HERE and the larger 2/3" bases HERE.

Stretch Goal #7 "The Gnomish Expedition" UNLOCKED!, Tree/Forest Pic, and Hero's Hoard Coupon
almost 5 years ago – Fri, Jun 07, 2019 at 11:25:32 AM

Oh man we are in the home stretch now! Only six days to go, and three awesome stretch goals left. Please be sure to share and promote wherever you think interesting parties might be, and let's get em all unlocked!

The Gnomish Expedition - UNLOCKED

Who doesn't love some gnomes!? For this stretch goal we are adding some cool gnome tech to the arsenal - first we have a complete underwater science lab, perfect for the gnome explorers as a base of operation or a  set-piece for aquatic wargaming! To get to the lab, we another piece of gnomish ingenuity - a submarine! This thing is very cool, and has a fully playable interior and optional stand (connects with an OpenLock clip to remove/use). Last, we add a diving bell for those one-man scenarios where you just gotta jump out of a boat and float into the depths!

For minis, we bring you 4 gnomes of epic design (by the talented Ronald Bondoc, who also did the deep gnomes from my last campaign). We have a female pirate and sailor, a male tinkerer, and an older male mechanic! And what's an expedition without a little danger to discover? Next up is a HUGE ancient, colossal moray eel! This guy is badass and is sure to scare the sh*t out of your players. Lastly (and not quite finished) are a few dolphins to add some flair to your seagoing tabletops.

-----------------------

Paint Ups

Here's a painted/flocked version of the recently unlocked jungle trees, some roots/set pieces, and the shambler!

Next up is the sea troll, sea hag, and shark men - all from previous unlocked stretch goals!

Last but not least, here's some shots of the tribal villiage pieces, the tribal warriors, an the armored panther!

Coupon for Hero's Hoard

Many people have asked about other content from Hero's Hoard (other than the EC3D sets included as add-on options). I do not own that content, but rather am partnered with Ryan, the owner of Hero's Hoard, to sell/list my stuff on there - but Ryan's stuff will not be available as an addon in this campaign. We DID however create a coupon code that will provide 15% off any/all content on Hero's Hoard (heroshoard.com) and is valid till midnight on Jun 10, so check it out if you're interested in True Tiles, or any other content on there. The coupon code is "SPRING2019"

Stretch Goal #6 "The Lost Tribe" UNLOCKED!
almost 5 years ago – Thu, Jun 06, 2019 at 12:21:30 AM

Gosh it seems like this KS is going fast, and we're unlocking a new stretch goal every few days, it's a whirlwind!

This unlock is "The Lost Tribes" and is one of my favorite stretch goals. For terrain we have some bamboo houses and pavilions. The bamboo platform is optional and can be used as it's own piece, and all roofs are removable. the huts have super cool details and carved totems in the desigs. Also included are a pair of totem poles, and a wood carved and stone carved statue head. Finally, dugout canoe, and optional outrigger version, are adorned with carved and stylized fish and sea critter designs.

For minis, we have the warrior tribe themselves. 5 unique minis (two female warriors, 2 male warriors, and the chieftain) are included. There are two versions of each mini, 1 regular and 1 with them wearing a carved wooden mask, and each character has a unique mask inspired by their personality and jungle animals. Even more impressive, these minis should all print supportless (on resin and FDM!).

I have all this stuff printed/painted and am wrapping it up, and will share shots of those over the next few days too. Hope you all dg it!

Stretch Goal #5 "The Deep Jungle" Unlocked + Video Interview
almost 5 years ago – Mon, Jun 03, 2019 at 01:33:07 PM

Aloha everybody! Some quick updates to share heading towards the weekend:

Stretch Goal Unlocked: "The Deep Jungle"

Heading inland from the water, we find ourselves deep  in the jungle now! New terrain includes a bunch of set-top pieces focusing on vine/moss/root covered vegetation pieces, some tree roots, a carnivorous plant, some (huge) awesome mushroom and vine-covered jungle trees, and a mysterious, ancient Dais (a lead-in to the upcoming forgotten temple stretch goal!). The renders of these look a bit busy but they make way more sense when you see em in person, and i'll post painted pics up very soon.

The minis are a whole lotta fun too - we start with a large organic/vine shambler then a huge giant snake wrapped around an empty tree stump (which could contain treasure, eggs, or whatever you wanna place inside). Next up is a sleek, muscular panther - which can dwell high in the trees or lurk in the bushes, and also included is  an armored version which can be an amazing battle companion or familiar (also a lead-in to an upcoming stretch goal!).  Last but *certainly* not least is the huge, jungle Treent! This guy is covered in draping vines and is awesome - I'm very excited to paint him up!

Video Interview w/ Matt @ Frog God Games (Matt Finch RPG Studio)

Yesterday I announced the cool collab between myself and Sea King's Malice, produced by Frog God Games. Last night I had the opportunity to chat with their creative director Matt, who has a great Youtube series. We discussed the origins of the KS, how I plan one,  resin/FDM differences, and a whole lot more! It's about 40 mins long so if you wanna deep dive and learn some more, check it out!
